Blue-gray gnatcatcher

These noisy little birds are easy to locate by sound. If you are patient, they will often show you the location of the nest. However, they are easiest to confirm when the babies are crying out for a meal. As the range map indicates, blue-gray gnatcatchers breed across the state.
