Cliff Swallow

Cliff swallows were not difficult to find in north Mississippi if the concrete structures were available for nesting. One of the more interesting sites was on the flood gates at Sardis Dam (660). The lack of reports south of Interstate 20 to the Gulf Coast warrant further field studies since there would not seem to be any particular habitat issues that would come into play. Perhaps those blocks lacked the highway overpasses?
