Common Grackle

Common grackles breed in all habitat types and in all sections of the state. They are most difficult to find in the northeast corner of the state.

Grackles are easy to confirm at all times of the breeding season because they can be seen carrying food or nesting materials. The young can be sorted from the adults in July by their dull coloring.
