Eastern Tufted Titmouse

Eastern tufted titmice were among the most common breeders in Mississippi. It is also a species easy to raise to probable because finding 7 singing males or placing males on territory takes little effort because of their loud song. This bird can be confirmed if you have enough range in your hearing to catch the high-pitched notes of the young. Young birds also will come quickly in response to a screech owl tape.
