Hooded Warbler

Hooded warblers can be found across the state in the right habitat. They preferred a brushy, thicket habitat among a stand of trees near water, which is hard to find in the Delta. Accordingly, hoodeds easy blend into the forest understory. The best way to find this bird is by song. The song can be confused with a Swainson's warbler, which can be in the same habitat.

Hoodeds are territorial, meaning they are fairly easy to raise to probable status.
