Louisiana Waterthrush

The atlas project found Louisiana Waterthrushes breeding across the state, except in the six coastal counties.

This species was found along year-around rivers or in the loess hills. This habitat often is difficult to access within a block. However, the song is distinct and carries well. The song was downloaded from http://sdakotabirds.com/species/louisiana_waterthrush_info.htm

This species has a widely disbursed breeding pattern in Mississippi, meaning most reports were of one breeding pair per block. This is consistent with BBS records.
