Purple Gallinule

Purple gallinules can be consistently found breeding on Pipeline Road at the Pearl River State Wildlife Refuge on the north end of Ross Barnett Reservoir. They also may be found irregularly on the national wildlife refuges in the Delta and at Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge.

The one atlas report comes from the Shoccoe Block, which includes a section of the Pearl River refuge.
