Wild Turkey

The atlas reports indicate that turkey breed across the state of Mississippi. The strongest populations seem to be in the loess hills geological areas and the weakest populations in the northwest Delta.

Turkeys can usually be located in a block by talking to local landowners or birdwatchers. Their reports have to be evaluated, but can even confirm turkey if the locals know where the young flock is located.
