Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

Yellow-bellied sapsuckers were seen in Pocahontas (593) on June 21 and in Greenville on July 18.According to BBS records, this species mostly breeds on the Canadian border with a small population in western North Carolina. This species is common in Mississippi in the winter.
